A "Yellowstone" moment

As I approached the summer break six years ago, I remember thinking exactly these words.

So I decided to go fly fishing in Yellowstone park with my father and brothers.

I knew my present situation wasn't working for me, but I had no idea what a new direction would be or could look like.

I was over 50 and thought all of the typical thoughts:

โž” I am "vintage" and over the hill in my industry (design).
โž” I have no relevant skills anymore.
โž” I could never succeed with my own business.
โž” I am not enough __________. (Fill in the blank with your choice of reason).

Fortunately, I was wrong on all points.

I knew what I needed to do (vaguely); I just needed to clear my mind of clutter to see this.

My "Yellowstone moment" allowed this to happen.

Many people I work with also realise that they know what they need to do but miss the clarity to get them there.

When I let go of all this shit, coaching found me, and I haven't looked back.

If you recognise yourself (even just a little bit) in any of this, take a break this summer, and then let's talk and make something happen for the rest of 2024.

Let's find your own โ€œYellowstone moment.โ€
